The Dress...

Picture
Finally! After much searching I've found my dress! It is Casablanca Couture. Style: B010. Duchess Silk Satin with Swarovski crystals on the attached "belt" and pleating on the front, which is mimicked on the back.

I will be wearing a drop veil similar to this one. The front blusher portion will be elbow length and the back portion will be waltz length. I LOVE this style of veil, mainly because it is all one piece of fabric and there is no floof at the top where the veil attaches to the comb! This photos is from Mrs. Jelly Beans from weddingbee.com.

VEIL UPDATE: I've decided to make my own drop veil! $350 is just way too much to spend on tulle. So thanks to some great instructions in the Planning Bio of knottie ChiMonique, I'll create my own! I have found ivory tulle for only $2.98/yd and will find a metal comb to attach (usually around $5). I will need around 4 yards of tulle to get the length I'm looking for.

UPDATE 7/28/09: I have finished my veil! I may add a few more crystals. I cut the first too short so I started over with Bridal Illusion tulle which is much softer and I found it at JoAnn Fabrics for only $1.98/yd! Check out my blog for instructions and cost.

So I originally found a pair of $11 earrings, on sale at Dillards... thought I loved them, until I saw these bad boys. Love.
